What You’ll Learn
Work hands-on with watercolor, oil, and pencil to explore texture, layering, and mark-making across traditional media.
Develop a deeper understanding of how each medium communicates mood, story, and emotion.
Capture and photograph your work for use in digital exploration.
As well as:
Learn digital painting in Procreate as a powerful medium in its own right—experiment with brushes, color palettes, and techniques that mimic or diverge from traditional styles.
Use digital tools to build on your analog work—refine compositions, test color schemes, and explore new visual directions without starting over.
Understand how digital painting can both stand alone and support your traditional process, giving you flexibility and freedom in your art-making.
Integrating Self-Promotion:
Throughout the course, students will document their creative processes, capturing "behind-the-scenes" content that showcases their unique approach and journey. This practice builds confidence and familiarity with self-promotion tools, ensuring students leave with a portfolio that communicates their artistic voice effectively.
